Sherlock Holmes and London Landscapes

This is a blog dedicated to the landscapes used in two recent adaptations of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's much-loved detective series - Sherlock Holmes.
The adaptations in questions are the Guy Ritchie blockbusters of Sherlock Holmes (2010) and Sherlock Homes: A Game of Shadows (2011), starring Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law, and the Mark Gatiss, and Steven Moffatt written BBC series Sherlock (2010-), starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
Sherlockian Landscapes is ideal for anyone interested in how landscape has been used in these two differing adaptations, bringing in a range of Geographical studies and theories concerning cinematic landscapes and the way these help to recreate the Conan Doyle's stories in new and imaginative ways.
